Thank you for helping the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank and our response to COVID-19.
Delivery volunteers will pick up around 10-15 bags of groceries from the Curbside Pick-up zone in front of the Food Bank and deliver them to a pre-assigned list of recipients in a given Marin neighborhood. Because of the volume of deliveries being coordinated and the diversity of clients in need, we cannot accommodate requests for neighborhoods.
We will follow-up around 4 pm the day before your shift via email with next steps on the bag pick-up process, a quick training on delivering and safety, and instructions on downloading and getting prepped with OnFleet, the delivery routing phone app.
We ask that any volunteer who does not feel well refrain from attending their volunteer shift.
Please also come prepared for your shift by doing the following:
- Please bring a mask/facial covering, the Food Bank will provide gloves.
- Wear close toed shoes
- Please wear comfortable clothing (we recommend layers, a hat, and sunscreen due to the ever-changing weather conditions)
- Please bring a secure lidded water bottle and a snack
- Please bring your charged phone as your delivery route will be loaded onto the OnFleet app.
