Thank you for helping the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank and our partners.
Meals on Wheels is requesting volunteers to support delivering grocery bags about 15-20 lbs to a pre-assigned list of recipients in San Francisco. Food Bank staff will not be present and volunteer hours may not be recorded by the Food Bank. Partner Pantry masking guidelines may differ from the Food Bank, so please be sure to adhere to their rules.
Tasks may vary at each site, but in general, volunteers will be assigned to distribute groceries, recycle, assist with check in, or other duties.
Please read these guidelines for serving at a Partner Pantry, including the highlights below:
- Wear closed-toed shoes
- Please wear comfortable clothing (we recommend layers and a hat)
- Be aware there will not be a place to store personal belongings, please do not bring valuables
- Please bring a secure lidded water bottle and a snack
- We ask that any volunteer who does not feel well refrain from attending their volunteer shift
