What and Why

The Supplemental Food Program (SFP) is a federal program that provides qualified seniors who are at least 60 years old and low-income a monthly box of shelf stable food. The program helps improve the health of our seniors by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA food products.

Volunteers will help with ensuring the distribution area is neat and safe for our staff and participants, distribution tables are stocked with food boxes, help sort out donations, and break down food boxes/cardboard.

The length of each shift is dependent upon volunteer and participant attendance and other constantly changing factors. Orientation and training are included in each shift.
